A Forgiveness Test
Nancy Leigh DeMoss: Do you ever find yourself making statements like these?
“He broke a promise.”
“It was so embarrassing.”“I was cheated out of a lot of money!”
Nancy: It’s possible to live with unforgiveness for so long that we don’t even realize it’s there.
“She lied to me—to me!”
“I can’t believe he was cheating on me.”
Nancy: Would you take a moment and let God search your heart? Is there anything or anyone that you are unwilling to forgive?
“My grown children never even call me.”
Nancy: Ephesians 4 says, “Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.”
“The hurt is real.”
“I do choose to forgive.”
